Leveled Reading

Organizing your library by leveling texts will make it both accessible and efficient. Your collection needs to include a broad range of titles and texts in both subject matter and reading levels to accommodate the typical spread of ability in your grade level. A collection of literature that has been leveled will be a valued resource when students are making selections for independent reading and working with the strategies you've modeled during reading instruction.

We apply the standards of Fountas and Pinnell's Guided Reading in text layout, vocabulary, sentence structure, design, plot complexity, font size, genres, and themes to determine the appropriate Guided Reading level.

In addition, we have the largest selection of Leveled Literature on the planet! Search by level, theme, title, and grade. All of our leveled books have labels affixed to them for easy integration into your current classroom library!

We also can provide the source of levels of all of our materials. Our levels come from a host of different sources including our own staff. We stand behind our levels and if there is ever a problem with a title being inappropriately leveled, we will make good on it.
